Streetsboro is a city of 17,260 people in western Portage County, part of the Akron metropolitan area. It covers 24.36 square miles at roughly 1,129 feet, with 0.90 square miles of that under water. The city was formed from most of the former Streetsboro Township of the Connecticut Western Reserve. Titus Street bought the original land in 1798.

Seneca Indians used the Old Portage Trail, which crosses the southwest corner of the city, to travel between Lake Erie and the Ohio River basin. A turnpike from Cleveland to Wellsville was laid through the township in 1825, with Street giving enough land to carry it across.
