The northern part of the township seceded to form Bay Village in 1901 and a southern portion left to join North Olmsted in 1912, with the remaining residents forming Dover Village in 1913. Dover Village was renamed Westlake in 1940 to avoid confusion with the city of Dover in Tuscarawas County, and became a city in 1957. Porch and addition roofs price very differently from full commercial decks, so we measure both. EPDM handles cold and movement well, which matters more here than reflectivity does. Anything under about a 2:12 pitch belongs on a membrane rather than under shingles.
